Happy Birthday, Lydia.

In the midst of moving hubbub, Lydia had her first birthday. (More about the new house later.) We celebrated Lydia's birthday on Saturday. After a yummy lunch of sloppy joes and mac and cheese, Lydia enjoyed chocolate cupcakes. Her cake was an owl cupcake cake. "Look whoooos 1!" it said.

After cake she enjoyed opening her presents. Well, mostly she enjoyed trying to eat the paper.

It was a special day. Lydia is learning so much. Pretty soon she'll be running through the house. For now, it's a few steps here and there. She's also starting to babble quite a bit. What a special year it has been!
