Happenings

Sorry that it’s been a while since we checked in! Nothing is wrong, we've just been a bit busy with the little things of life. Ethan keeps things interesting, even if big events aren’t happening. Last Thursday to Saturday he was on a nap strike to mommy’s consternation. It probably didn’t help that she took him along to a women’s retreat Friday and Saturday. But if he wasn’t going to nap, at least there were extra hands to love him. After being quite “off” his routine, he did settle back in much to our joy. He hasn't been sleeping through the night, but what a relief to put him down for a nap and not have him fuss the whole time! He now likes to roll when he’s in his crib, so maybe he was working on these great skills last week instead of napping.

This week he’s babbling up a storm. It’s fun to watch him focus on a skill and keep practicing it. He’s back to making raspberries and bubbles, which he'd taken a break from last week. Sometimes his sounds are quite happy, but other times you know he's not pleased. He loves to make all sorts of sounds especially if he wants attention.


This week we’ve all enjoyed some time with Daddy. After working long hours, it’s been nice to have him home for a bit. Ethan gives his Daddy great big smiles! Tuesday was a rainy day here and we all just hung out and enjoyed naps. Ethan found a great cozy spot with his Daddy. They made such a cute picture. With all the happenings, sometimes little boy just gets tuckered out! We love to see him sleeping, but then quickly decide that he's even more precious when he's awake and grinning at us.
