Nine months old
On Sunday Ethan turned nine months old. It was a busy day with church in the morning and evening, so after a nap we had our "photo shoot". I thought that the nap would put the boy in a happier mood, but alas, that was not the case. We did manage to get some happy pictures and you can see from his positions that he doesn't stay still for long! It's fun to look back over the months and remember when he needed pillows to be propped up. Todd and I both laughed as he either wanted to be held by mommy or crawl towards the camera.
Ethan is definately getting his own ideas. He does not like having things taken out of his hands or being kept from exploring things like the computer cord, the DVD player, or bookcases. He's eager to try out his legs and likes standing, but gets frustrated when he can't get to where he wants to go or bend down for something. There seem to be many unhappy moments in the house these days, but the storm of tears quickly passes when something "new" catches his attention.
Eating can be a challenge, too. He doesn't always want to take time to nurse. He likes
finger foods A LOT! We think he's learned to use sign language to say more. He puts
his two little hands together when all his cheerios are gone, and smiles big when some more get put on the tray. He also loves fruit! When he's hungry the food disappears fast, whatever it is, but at other times he starts with gusto and then doesn't seem happy with what is before him.
It's amazing to see how much he's changed in nine months. Time does fly.
