Happy Birthday, Todd!

Things have been a little busy around here recently! It's taken me a while to get the birthday pictures up. August 2nd, we celebrated Todd's birthday together as a family. Well, we were together for MOST of the day. In the morning we shared Ethan with the Nerneys who watched him while Todd and I went kayaking. It was great to be out on the water even if it was a gray day and we kept an eye on the clouds!

To make the day extra special we did something for the very first time. We bought two lobster and took them home to cook them. YUM! We had lobster, corn on the cob and garlic bread. Ethan took a little sample of my lobster, but I'm not that generous of a Mom! He enjoyed his own array of tasty tidbits. For dessert we had raspberry pie made with raspberries I handpicked for my berry lover.

Later that evening we opened some gifts. Ethan's really getting to understand that bows and pretty paper are fun! He was all warmed up and was taking the bows off the packages long before Todd settled down to open them. We enjoyed a quiet evening together.

We'll keep you posted on things...it could be that we're busy because little boy is walking around on two legs about as much as he's crawling on four and using both means of locomotion to explore everywhere!
