Apple Picking

Last year we went apple picking and Ethan hadn't really a clue what we were doing. BUT this year, he was ready to get in there and get one of those apples! We found some low branches and he got a big smile pulling at the apple. He was a pro at putting the apple in the bag, since he does lots of practicing of taking things out and putting things back in! We picked a few apples, but bought a bag of "utilitiy" apples (I grew up calling them seconds...). Ethan thought it was great to be able to go out in the mud room and play with the apples. He also enjoyed the apple sauce and apple butter that I eventually made with all those apples! YUM!
