Happy Halloween

We didn't go trick or treating or to any parties, but Ethan dressed up on Halloween. (I think I felt like I wasn't being a very fun parent.) We found a cute monkey costume that was WAY on sale. Of course, Ethan took one look at the get up at home and shook his head "NO". Everytime it was near him he'd start to cry. Thankfully we introduced the costume a little bit before Halloween. Finally, though he let us get some photos. Once he was playing and eating one of his favorite things, a banana, the world was better. The monkey seemed to especially like picking the flowers off my mums! It was a very warm evening, so we played a bit outside and then came in for pizza and to wait for our trick or treaters. We've never lived anywhere that people actually came to us, so this was a first. Ethan was rather excited that people were coming to our house, but was very perplexed that they weren't staying to play. Soon he went to bed, and our night was fairly quiet. At least we had a good time playing with our monkey!
