Snowy Days and Sweet Moments

Monday...snow fell and we got out the snow blower and shoveled.

Tuesday...snow fell and fell and fell, but not enough to worry about snow blowing when you didn't have to get out early the next day.

SO what do you do when you don't have to work in the snow? Yes, you play in the snow! Especially when Ethan didn't want to shut his eyes and take a nap. We bundled up and hauled out the sled. After some warm up pulls around the driveway and down the street we headed to the "hill" in our backyard. It's not much of a hill, but it is impressive when you realize that it's made of all the snow we dump off the roof and the back deck. Ethan wasn't too keen on this at first, but by the end he was all smiles and excited to go sledding with Mommy along of course. He even stopped fussing in the deep snow and took HUGE steps to make his way through the foot to foot and a half of snow in the yard.

But for Mommy the best part was next. Does the picture give it away?
We had some sweet moments together. There's nothing like Mommy and Son time over a cup of "hot" chocolate (Ethan doesn't really like hot things so his had an ice cube in it) and bundled up under a blanket with a good book. Ahhh....snow days and sweet moments. I guess it was worth.....Wednesday....snow fell and we got out the snow blower and shoveled!
