Strange....

I know many of you with kids have experienced what I did today. For some of you it brought feelings of great joy. For others it brought a twinge of sadness. For many it brought a mix of the two.

I sat down for lunch today, and it was just me and my lunch. It was quiet. I didn't have to make anyone else's lunch. I didn't have to get anyone anything. I didn't have to answer questions or give permission or remind anyone of proper behavior. It was strange! And although I did like that it was quieter, I'm not sure I totally liked the whole thing. This growing up thing is hard to do! Good thing for me, that Lydia was just taking a nap at a strange time, so these lunches won't be a regular occurrence yet!
