Apple Picking 2010

I guess it's official. We have a fall tradition of going apple picking. This year we headed out a nice bright sunny fall afternoon. It was the perfect kind of day for wandering in an orchard.


Ethan has been asking for days if we are going apple picking. When we headed out to the orchard he was one happy camper. He got to pick a few of his own apples.









Some were easier to pick than others!




And he also got to sample an apple just off the tree. What a great blessing....sunshine, green grass, fall trees, and a juicy apple. YUM!


Mommy got to gather a big bushel bag full of drop apples. She's dreaming about apple sauce, caramel apples, apple pie, apple cake, apple bread, apple muffins. I think Daddy's dreaming some of thos same dreams....especially the one featuring apple pie. Won't take long for that big bag to disappear.

Yes, apple picking is a wonderful fall family tradition.
