Country Boy

Although we've been home for a while, we didn't share with you all about our adventure to Pap and Nanny's house. So, this will be a catch up post.

Ethan and I took on the drive by ourselves. (Poor Daddy had to stay home and work.) Ethan was a trooper on the long trip. I was a little worried when we had just turned on to the ramp for the interstate about 5 min from home when he asked if we were at Pap's house yet! So although that question was asked a million times, he did a great job.

We had a great time with the cousins.


Ethan loved that Taylor is a baseball lover as well. He also had fun organizing the team and giving everyone positions. We biked. Ethan brought his bike with him and loved riding with his cousins, except for the hills. What a boy! He played in the pool. The cousins were going to go in, but it was a little chilly. That didn't stop Ethan though!




Of course, what would be a trip to Pap's house with out time with the animals. Ethan liked helping to feed everyone.


But he especially like the new litter of kittens. Pap kept telling him he could take one home with him. A few hours into our return trip, Ethan piped up, "Mommy, did Pap put a kitten in my suitcase?"

He also had a good time riding on the four wheeler and the tractor. They weren't having any fun, were they?




We also had a special day with Nanny. We went to a neat animal park. Ethan had a good time looking at the animals.







When we were going on the safari drive, Ethan was sure we should ride in the blue bus. That wasn't our bus, but it was the bus behind us. The whole time we were looking at deer, elk, bison, and other creatures, Ethan kept pointing out the location of the blue bus!


As always, the time we're visiting goes too quickly. There wasn't time to see all of the family, but we did enjoy some special time with Nanny, Pap, Uncle Keith, Aunt Marsha, and the cousins. We hope they come visit us now...real soon!
