"Growth spurt"

Ethan's had a growth spurt this week. He hasn't gotten taller, but boy has he matured. Let's see if I can remember all the things that happened.

1. He answered a question during circle time at school.

2. He used the bathroom at school for the first time on his own. (Usually he goes before or after his 3 hours at school.)

3. He asked to have his soup warmed up MORE. This is our boy who likes most things cold. He also likes warmer bath water and hasn't been crying when he gets his hair washed.

4. He made his own train track without any help from mom or dad.

5. The BIGGEST thing----He backed down and obeyed Mommy!!!! If you know Ethan at all, you know he can be stubborn. He's a good boy most of the time, but at times he gets his own ideas and doesn't like to back down. When it comes to following directions in a discipline situation, usually it ends up in lots of tears from Ethan and a long time in his room. BUT he finally got it the other day. YES!!!!!!!! Instead of straightening his back and defying Mommy, he did as he was asked.

I'll take this growth spurt any day!
