Artists at work

Life has felt just entirely too much like a whirlwind.  Much of it has been good things and blessings, but my the tempo has been much more than I like.  Today things slowed down.

Although the morning began with some grumpiness, it ended up being a great day.  Chores were done in the morning.  Ethan did a great job cleaning up his room and sweeping it.  We had time to read books.  The afternoon became quite warm, so it was perfect for playing with sponge bombs.  Ethan and I had a battle while Lydia napped.  We also turned the lid of the sand box into a target.  It was a lot of fun, that I'm sure we'll try again.

Much of the day was also spent being artists.  Lydia "painted" pictures on her purple gel bag that was taped to the window.

And Ethan broke out the football a friend gave him.  It's a football that you can't paint.  So Ethan decided the logos from ALL of the NFL teams should go on it.  We tried to talk him out of it, but he really wanted all the logos.

So Mommy caved and drew them for him.

We'll have to add a picture of the finished product. He really did a GREAT job!
YEAH!  Let's hear it for a SLOW day of fun!
