Catching up from Christmas

I'm finally getting around to downloading photos from Christmas. At least it's not a MONTH after a Christmas!

Ethan wasn't too keen on Santa coming to his house this year. A few days before Christmas he began to ask questions and then he said he didn't want Santa coming to his house. I think those thoughts were forgotten though when he saw the train track waiting for him on Christmas morning.

He was a little disappointed though and asked why Lady, a special train he'd requested, wasn't there. We told him you never knew what still might happen today. So after eating breakfast and focusing our hearts on the true meaning of all the gift giving through the reading of God's Word Ethan was able to look in his stocking. Guess who as waiting at the bottom?

You can tell it's a special day when Mom lets you eat candy canes at 8 in the morning!

We had a great day together as a little family. Ethan had lots of time to play and we just enjoyed being together. Later that day we shared a meal with our family members here in Maine. How blessed we are to have them!

After hearing all the weather reports, we decided to pack tings up and head out SUPER early the next day. So, by 2:30 we were on the road to PA. We got there around 11 without more than a sprinkle of snow along the way. WHAT A DAY!

While in PA we had a great visit with family. From sledding to shooting Nerf dart guns to sliding on ice and feasting like kings we savord the time together. The cousins especially seemed to enjoy their time together. Gee....I don't think they were having fun at all, do you?
