A is also for Acadia

You probably saw the other day that our fall adventure included apple picking. Well this fall adventure is about Acadia. It's always a favorite place to visit. Usually at this time of year there's some beautiful color as well as the ocean and mountain views. But that didn't keep us from having a great day. It actually seemed more like summer!

Our friend Nicole was with us for the weekend, so we enjoyed the day with her. (Poor Daddy had to work.) We picnicked on the rocks by the ocean. What a treat! A tidal pool nearby made a certain little boy very happy. He loved putting his feet in the water and throwing rocks. For the longest time he was talking and playing on his own. (I'm not sure I want to know what imaginary people he was with!)

Yes, He's such a statement of high fashion! He wanted to wear his swim suit, but Mom wouldn't let him. Thank goodness he could get his feet wet.

We also took a walk around Bar Harbor. It was a little busy with people also out enjoying the day. We eventually ended up down by the harbor where Ethan could throw more rocks. Thanks to seeing so many other enjoying ice cream cones on this sunny day, we also splurged and had a treat by the water. (Okay the splurge was really that we had ice cream two days in a row!)

We don't know much longer we'll have these nice days, so each one is a treasure. Between warm sun, God's creation, good friends, and family times, days like these are the best!
