Golden Road

I've been terrible about keeping up lately. The pictures from this post actually happened way back a day or so before the apple picking post. Yeah...that's bad, isn't it?

Way back about a month ago, we took a trip up north to something called the Golden Road. It was a beautiful fall day.

The Golden Road is a logging road. It connects Moosehead Lake with Baxter State Park. It was built a long time ago privately for use by the logging trucks. We thought we'd see LOTS of trucks and counted quite a few. (But we actually saw just as many the next day or so apple picking!)

Todd's always wanted to spend some time with the famed Mt. Katahdin, which is one end of the Appalachin Trail. We didn't actually hike the mountain, but we did get some views of her.


Ethan brought along his camera, too! He enjoyed throwing rocks in the ponds and stream we stopped at.


It as a cold day. So, what better to drink, than cold coffee. Yum.



We also took a little hike along a trail at one point. Our guide led the way.

It was a great family day. And just so you can say you've seen me...here's a picture of me and the little one to come. (And yes...a month later, I'm even bigger.)
