Trimming the Tree

Christmas is almost here when we finally get our tree. This past week, we did it!

It's a nice tree....full and fat like Mama Miller. We got it one afternoon, but it up another evening, and then decorated it the next morning. Ethan was SOOOO excited!

However, until the lights were put on it and beads were strung on the branches, his enthusiasm had cooled. So, he and Dad went off to play a while and Mom decorated for a bit. Eventually they all came back and put the final touches on things.

Ethan put a big ball on a thin branch and promptly quoted Charlie Brown, "Aghhh! I killed it!" We laughed and laughed the first time. But after he's repeated it 50 times it's not quite as funny.

But the tree is trimmed, the house is decorated, and we are grateful for all these family times together and there are many reminders that if we choose to see them will help us draw close to the one who came at Christmas.

One last shot----Look what I found under the tree!
