Monday, June 21st-Zion Canyon
On Monday we visited Zion National Park. I will probably say it a hundered times when talking about the trip, but these places were AMAZING! The testimony to God's creative power is awesome. The rocks truly do cry out to who He is.
Since Zion Canyon can only be accessed by Shuttle bus we drove to Springdale to catch the shuttle, which then took us past the highlights of the park, such as the Patriarchs, the Altar and the Pulpit, and the Great White Throne. You could look out the skylights in the ceiling of the shuttle and sometimes see the rocks towering above you. All of us walked the trail to the Narrows, which was a wonderful through the canyon.
Later Todd and I took a hike. We traveled the Kayenta Trail to the Emeral Pools. The Upper Pool was incredible. Water fell from a height way up on the canyon wall and trickled down to a pool in delicioulsy cool place after the heat of the climp up to the pool and shade in the canyon.
We ate and then saw an IMAX movie about Zion. Ethan fell asleep during the first 5 minutes of the movie. It had been a great, but tiring day!
