Tuesday, June 22- Red Canyon

Later in the day we headed to Bryce Canyon. But before we reached Bryce we were given an appetizer for the eyes- Red Canyon, which was noted as the "Gateway to Bryce Canyon". The rock really did have a unique red color. And the spires you see in the pictures are a formation called a hoodoo. Hoodoos are a rock formation found throughout Bryce Canyon. Bryce Canyon isn't that far from Zion, and yet the landscape was very different!


We drove through this arch, which was also pretty cool!
